NEOTEC – Opportunity for small innovative businesses constituted in the last three years*

The NEOTEC initiative’s main objective is to support the creation and consolidation of new technology-based companies in Spain.

As a novelty for this year, the incorporation of staff with a doctorate degree is prioritized with the aim to reinforce the company’s absorption and knowledge generation capacities. The granted financial aid may be used for business projects in any technological and/or sectorial field.

Up to 70% of the eligible budget may be financed, with a maximum grant amount of 250,000 euros per beneficiary. Nonetheless, projects that include the employment of at least one employee with a doctorate degree may be eligible for up to 85% of the budget of the project, with a maximum grant amount of 325,000 euros per beneficiary.

Which costs will be financed?

The costs derived from the start-up of a new business project can be many, examples of (but not limited to) costs that the NEOTEC program will finance are:

• Investments in equipment
• Staff expenses
• Materials
• External collaborations / consultancy
• Other costs such as rentals, supplies, royalties and licenses, application and maintenance costs for patents and other industrial property rights, and insurance.

Deadline for submission: The important date to keep in mind is July 8, 2021, at 12:00 noon, Peninsular time.
