On December 12th the enerTIC Awards cermony took place at the Assembly Hall of the Ministry of Economy and Business in Madrid, chaired by Mr. Roberto Sánchez Sánchez, General Director of Telecommunications and Information Technology of the Ministry of Economy and Business, Mr. César Franco, Dean of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Madrid (COIIM) and Ms. Marta Balenciaga , Dean-President of the Official College of Telecommunications Engineers (COIT).
These prestigious awards are handed out to the most innovative, energy efficient technology solutions of the digital era.
Inspiralia project Vertical Green was announced winner in the Smart Sustainability category.
Hugo Scagnetti, Business Incubator Director at Inspiralia and founder of Vertical Green attended the cermony and explained to the audience how the Vertical Green project is addressing the 21st-century main human challenge, the global food supply chain.
The support that the project received during the votations was incredible, and it is gratifying to see that the public is showing an increasing interest in this type of initiatives.

Since 2013, enerTIC reward innovative technological projects carried out by companies and organizations that are committed to energy efficiency and sustainability. Public and private organizations submitted their applications to 22 categories, including Smart Cities, Smart Energy, Smart Industry 4.0, Smart IT Infrastructure, International Projects, Horizon Europe Projects, and Innovative Startups.
On September 12th, a Commission of Experts evaluated more than 130 projects submitted and chose the finalists for each category. The selection process was based on several aspects: technology level, the usability of Information and Communication Technologies, impact on the reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions, applicability in other organizations/environments, etc.
