A group of Inspiralia employees decided to acknowledge October as Breast Cancer awareness month by participating in the first 5 km ‘Muddy Angel Run’ in Spain that took place outside Madrid on Sunday 9th of October.
The air was vibrating with positive energy on this beautiful autumn day as women dressed in black and pink were warming up and getting ready to have a good time and while doing so, supporting the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) by participating in the race.
Throughout the track, some serious first-degree mud contact was to be expected and these ladies had to get down from tip to toe in the muddy water, climb up and down hills and get past all type of muddy obstacles before finally crossing the finish line.
“It was a great way to disconnect from work, have some fun with my colleagues and contribute to a good cause” said one of the Inspiralia team members.
“I decided to do this in honor of my aunt who is a two-time survivor of breast cancer and a woman that has always been a great source of inspiration to me” said another.
Next year we hope to see more of our female colleagues at the finish line and encourage each and every one to take a moment to think about ways you could get involved in the prevention of a disease that sooner or later somehow touches all of us.
