Vital Solutions Swiss AG is specialized in developing plant-based food ingredients, for functional food and food supplements, aimed at improving human health. We propose Care300, a mango-based ingredient, that keeps our metabolism healthy. By acting on specific regulatory enzymes, Care300 helps to reduce body weight, improves glucose tolerance and helps to develop an optimal body mass and fat distribution.

A jewel for seasoning your dishes: Seagem

Although Europe has plenty of resources, only a quarter of the sea vegetable market is supplied by European producers. Our client Islensk Hollusta Ehf excels at serving food products from natural Icelandic resources.

Their new and ambitious project is SEAGEM. It brings Vertebrata Lanosa, a true gastronomic gem, to worldwide cuisines. This sea vegetable solely lives in North-Atlantic Seas and it is a tiny marine organism from the red algae family with the resemblance of truffle taste. V. lanosa is a very delicate product as factors such as season, location and weather affect the flavour. If the conditions needed to create, process and preserve the most desirable variety were identified, they could be cultivated for use in the food industry, and this is what they have achieved.

Bye bye old sirloin, welcome crickets!!!

Population growth will drive meat demand to 72% above 2000 levels by 2030, increasing greenhouse gas emissions, the eutrophication of freshwater resources and the conversion of land for livestock use. Inset proteins place a far lower demand in terms of water, emissions, and land use, and what is more important, insects can convert feed into proteins 10 times more efficiently than, for example, cows.

Global Bugs is a Swedish SME with extensive experience in farming crickets and black soldier fly. They have created the world’s first large-scale automated insect breeding farm to upscale production to unpreceded levels while adapting quality to consumers nutritional requirements.

You can now give their products a try and taste their cricket powder and cricket-based snacks, delicious!
