With the renewal of the Eurostars program, all types of innovative SMEs can receive funding to cover the next stages of development for their technology-based new products, processes or services. More than 200 companies every year have been successful in securing grant support in their route to commercialization for an average project size of € 1.5 million.
Eurostars-3 is the latest edition of the funding scheme managed by the Eureka Secretariat and supported by the European Commission through Pillar III of Horizon Europe. Whether you are already working with entities in other countries or searching for new partners abroad, you will be able to take part providing that you qualify as SME and have the ambition to collaborate on R&D and innovation activities. The call is not restricted to EU members, not even to European organizations only since a total of 37 nationalities participate in the program*.
As long as there is an innovative SME leading the project, other types of entities including large companies, universities or research organizations can also be part of the consortium and have their activities funded. At least two entities independent from each other need to work together, while two different countries must be represented. Your project will last less than 36 months and have a civilian purpose, but all market and technology areas are welcome, since Eurostars follows a bottom-up approach.
