Information and Communications Technologies (ICT)

ICT technologies are present in most everyday activities. Increasingly these technologies offer flexibility in the way people communicate with other humans and with the machines.

Inspiralia has core competences in some of the most popular Information and Communication Technologies; such as: Mobile technologies, Intelligent Systems, Computer vision and Location Aware Applications.

The Intelligent Systems area performs interdisciplinary research intended to discerning the principles behind the design of artificial intelligent machines. Its focus is to bring together ideas from motion and task planning, machine learning, reinforcement learning to manufacture intelligent machine systems that are capable of working across a wide selection of problem domains.

The combination of inexpensive technologies revolving around the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) , a map and the right communications link gives rise to a whole new family of techniques; including: Ubiquitous Computing, Context Aware and Ambient Intelligence.Mobile technologies, are central to the consumer market. However 4G and 5G infrastructures can find wide application in the professional and industrial fields as well. Inspiralia has developed its competences in fields of expertise such as: automotive, remote data acquisition, robotics, railways, health, etc.

Vision is the most natural sense humans’ use in their day to day experience. Inspiralia expertise in Computer Vision allow us tackle a great number of applications from Infrared Imaging to Stereoscopy, from pattern recognition to real-time identification and tracking. Many previously unexplored applications become possible by means of Computer Vision in fields as diverse as: industrial inspection, multimedia, defence, transport, aerial imaging, video surveillance, security, multimedia, medical imaging, etc.

Last but not least, Inspiralia has experts in the design of Advanced User Interfaces using advanced sensing technologies; as well as the development of hard Real Time systems and Software Optimization.
